Business knowledge for everyone
“Particularly during this period of high tension, the work of Choson Exchange should continue. ”
Young North Koreans at universities in the DPRK see studying business and economics as key to improving their country’s standard of living, but access to high-quality education and practical experiences in these fields are limited. As a student at the Wharton School, Geoffrey visited North Korea and met a university student who wanted to be a businesswoman to prove that women can be good business leaders. This incident, along with other North Korea-related experiences, led Geoffrey to conceive the idea for Choson Exchange in 2007.
Choson Exchange is registered in Singapore with a network present in Singapore, Vietnam, Switzerland, London and Korea. Choson Exchange’s team has interacted with North Koreans in many ways and like our founder, caught the “North Korea bug” – an intense interest in North Korean issues and its people, with a desire to see it integrate peacefully into the international community.
